Air amplifier from Nex Flow™ Air Products Corp., for rugged applications (Made by Brauer):
 
Air amplifier is easy to mount and maintain reducing both compressed air consumption and noise levels. It takes energy from a small volume of compressed air to produce a high velocity, high volume, low pressure output air flow.

Air amplifiers come in five standard outlet (outside) diameters:

Air amplifiers come standard with a .002" (.05mm) shim to control the compressed air exit gap which will work for 90% of all applications encountered. If greater force is required, more .002" (.05mm) shims or a .003" (.07mm) shim may be installed to open the gap for greater flow.

How it works :

Standard Air Amplifier - A small amount of compressed air enters the annular chamber at point (A) that is then throttled through a small ring nozzle at high velocity and into the inside of the amplifier over a coanda profile. The compressed air stream clings to the coanda profile as it enters the inside walls of the amplifier and thereby creating a vacuum that induces the outside air at point (B) converting the pressure into amplified airflow. The amplified of airflow leaves at the exit at point (C). Airflow is further amplified downstream at point (D) by entraining additional air from the surroundings at the exit.

Replaces fans used for blow-off, cleaning, drying, cooling and conveying.

Automative:
b Remove water, coolant, dust, and scrap in parts manufacturing/assembly operations.
b Cool enamel and water based paints in parts manufacturing, auto body shops or assembly lines.

Bottling:
b Blow off of water from the tops of cans, bottles prior to labeling, ink jetting, palletizing or packaging.
b Conveying light materials.

Chemicals:
b Blow off of chemicals or water prior to labeling or packaging.
s
Food:
b Remove water from product or packaging.

General Manufacturing:
b Part ejection, fume removal, dust and liquid blow off from all types of parts, conveying away waste. Replaces fans in some cooling operations such as tempering glass.

Metals:
b Coolant and other liquid removal on process lines from aluminum, steel, brass or other materials.
b Drying metals prior to other operations such as plating or polishing.
b Cooling metal parts prior to coating or painting. Coolant mist removal.
b Boost vacuum systems to remove grinding dust. Cool steel forgings.

Paper & Lumber:
b Sawdust removal and control by boosting the vacuum system, dust removal.
b Trim removal in converting applications.

b Dust and scrap blow off.
b Cool moldings after extrusion, then blow off and dry prior to forming.

Air mover Air Amplifier - Ducting:
 
Both the inlet (vacuum intake) and discharge ends of the unit may be ducted for light material and fume conveying applications. Care must be taken to avoid unnecessary restrictions that will cause back pressure or suction resistance that will reduce performance levels. Keep back pressure and resistance to under 2" of water column.
